| After
years of managing mobile labor forces, 2 construction
contractors felt that there was an inherent need to change
the way employees recorded their field time. The
construction industry typically is trusting of field
employees to accurately record their daily time on company
provided time sheets and of course they don't. As an
example, with the loss of ½ hr per day for an average
company of 20 employees it would result in the loss of
thousands of dollars per year. After exhaustive research it
was concluded that there was no avenue available to fulfill
the needs of the construction industry or other mobile labor
work forces.
With this in mind they
developed a portable, battery operated,
weather resistant, very reliable, and easy to use
biometric time clock system called: Biometric Time
Guard Systems. The time clock system needed to have the ability to track the employee from job to
job, track separate job tasks, track change order labor, and
speed up the payroll process in the office. This was all
accomplished and a lot more. For simplicity of the field
employee, and to do away with the "buddy punching
system", a biometric time clock was incorporated into
the design. This eliminated the need for swipe cards,
colored key tags, bar codes, etc. that the employee must be
responsible for. This assures that the employee must be at
the clock at the correct times.
In 2000 WCI Time Clock
Systems was formed with the sincere desire to make labor
savings a key part in the profitability of companies with
mobile labor forces. |
